Water

We navigate New Mexico's water laws and regulations to secure our clients water rights and assist them with complex transactions and regulatory compliance. We assist our clients with the various permitting processes required by the New Mexico Office of State Engineer and other regulatory bodies. Our services include permit compliance, new applications, water right transfers and transactions, and water right protests.

Kyle Harwood

Partner
Kyle is an attorney and water resources professional with 25 years of experience providing legal and interdisciplinary water consulting services in New Mexico. Kyle has advised clients on land and water law regulations and policy issues as well as drafted regulations and policy for clients, as well as special master and expert witness services. Kyle’s home is an historic ranch in La Cienega, outside of Santa Fe, where he lives with three sons and his wife Elege Simons Harwood.

Luke Pierpont

Partner
Luke Pierpont has practiced in the area of water, real estate, and natural resources law since 2012. He has extensive experience assisting clients in negotiating contracts, settlement agreements, and water and real estate transactions. Luke also represents clients on real estate, water law, and natural resource matters in front of various administrative bodies, quasi judicial hearings, and in the district courts of New Mexico. Luke is the proud father of two daughters and enjoys spending time exploring the rivers and mountains of New Mexico and beyond with his wife Sarah.

Julie Ann Grimm

Julie Ann came to the legal profession in 2024 with 24 years of experience as a New Mexico journalist, editor and publisher.
